The ladies of Selcuk, Turkey are 2 Legit, 2 Legit to Quit.  Gotta love the flowered drop crotch hammer pants!

    Hi Sariah,
Those pants are to much they look like dodo catchers. I love the contrast of the woman behind
with the crop jeans. I love seeing the ethnic styles and textiles.Love Auntie Laurie xo

Hi Lauren. Selcuk and surrounding area is the only place in Turkey I’ve seen that they dress like this. Very comfy, but very unflattering – dodo catcher sounds about right. In Istanbul most people just wear modern Western clothes so the people watching isn’t as fun.

This is amazing, so many flowers and so many colours of flowers.
Is each flower different for each leg? or are they the same kind of flower on the opposite leg of the pant? Are they local flowers from the area, or are they flowers from different parts of the world?
Wonderful, small flowers, big flower mid size flowers, I wish I can take my camera man Heui to interview this wonderful people.

Dear Huell – wonderful to see you on the blog! Yes, the flower pants would make an excellent interview subject for you, something along the lines of the “rocks” interview you did, with all the different sizes etc. Unfortunately as I was not with a Turkish translator, I could not ask the ladies about the origins of the flower patterns. However, I learned that they’ve been wearing these pants for hundreds of years or longer, and in no way have been influenced by MC Hammer.
