The Sublime Part I: China

August 31, 2010

I took a lot of pictures of mountains in Central Asia.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from China.  Sublime is such a great word.  To me there is no better word to describe these landscapes.

wonderful pictures! Is that a rock wall in the last picture?

Thank-you. Yes, it’s a stone wall. There are some concrete yurts in the area too, but too ugly to include in the picture.

Sariah once again you amaze me with your developing photographic skills. I love the grassy plains against the rugged mountain scapes. What are the stones in the black photoscapes?
It looks like volcanic ash??? Nice to see you in the picture as well and in red! “Perfection”.

Thanks! I had a lot of fun taking them. The black rocks are just rocks sticking out of the water.

Fantastic pictures Sariah! Really, really beautiful! Still not as good as the ones your husband takes, but still great stuff! 😉

All your tennis buddies miss you!!!

Hi Evan! How is the tennis season going???? You must be enjoying the US open.

Funny you should mention Ian’s photography – that one that you have from him of the Jefferson, he just sold it to a calendar, it’s going to be on the cover! I’m very proud of him.

With a little of post processing you will like them hanging from one of your walls!
